Silica Gel Adsorbents Introduction
Silica gel alias is silicate gel, is a highly active adsorption material, is an amorphous substance.
It has an open porous structure, strong adsorption especially the selective adsorption capacity for water vapor. The appearance of silica gel adsorbent is light yellow transparent or translucent beads, with stable chemical properties, non-toxic and tasteless, fast adsorption, large adsorption capacity and small pressure drop.
If it absorbs water, some silica gels absorb about 40% or even 300% of the moisture. It is used for gas drying, gas absorption, liquid dehydration, color layer analysis, etc., and is also used as a catalyst. If cobalt chloride is added to silica gel, it will become blue when it dries and will become red when absorbed. This kind of silica gel is recyclable and reusable.
